Roimh ár seachtain saoire do mheántéarma mhí na Bealtaine dhírigh muid ar fhoghlaim faoinár ngrianchóras.
Thosaíomar an tseachtain ag labhairt faoin ngrianchóras. Le linn am ciorcail labhair muid faoi na pláinéid éagsúla. Ba iad Mars, Véineas, Plútón agus Neiptiún cuid de na pláinéid is ansa leis na páistí.
Labhair muid faoin ngrian, faoin ngealach agus faoi na réaltaí freisin. Thaitin sé go mór leis na páistí labhairt faoi dhul go dtí an spás ar roicéad agus faoi phost spásaire. Don ealaín an tseachtain seo chruthaíomar na pláinéid inár ngrianchóras ag baint úsáide as bata péinte.

The Solar System
Our solar system
Before our week off for May mid term we focused on learning about our solar system.
We started off the week by talking about the solar system during circle time we spoke about the different planets some of the favourite planets of the children were mars, Venus, Pluto and Neptune.
We also spoke about the sun, moon and the stars. The children loved talking about going to space on a rocket and the job of an astronaut.
For our art this week we created the planets in our solar system using paint stick. The children stuck crepe paper onto a picture to make a rocket.
To finish off our week we looked at the observatory and planetarium on the projector.
We also took the opportunity to listen to music about the solar system.
