Lá Fhéile Vailintín
Bhí téama an grá timpeall orainn den chuid is mó an seachtain seo sa Naíonra agus muid ag ceiliúradh mar ullmhúchán do Lá Fhéile Vailintín an deireadh seachtaine seo.
Le linn am ciorcail, labhair muid faoi cheiliúradh Lá Fhéile Vailintín; labhair muid faoi chineáltas, cairdeas agus conas a thaispeáint dár dteaghlaigh go bhfuil siad in ár gcroí.
Don ealaín agus don cheardaíocht an tseachtain seo, rinneamar cárta Lá Vailintín, feithid grá, bláthanna, colláis Vailintín agus rinneamar stampaí ag baint úsáide as péint agus cruthanna croí.
Thaitin sé go mór leis na páistí an bord súgartha praiseach a bhí lán de chleití, pom poms agus páipéar crepe a iniúchadh. Chruthaíomar boilgeoga freisin ag baint úsáide as confetti gallúnach folctha agus uisce. Thaitin sé go mór leis na páistí a bheith á brú idir a lámha.
D’oscail muid ár mbialann féin freisin, áit a thug na páistí deis foghlaim faoi na róil éagsúla i dtimpeallacht bialainne.
Thaitin sé go mór leis na páistí an bia a sheirbheáil, bhí gach rud againn ó “anraith lapa patróil” go “sailéad dineasáir”.
Chun an tseachtain a chríochnú, bhí cóisir téama Lá Vailintín againn; thaitin sé leis na páistí grianghraif a thógáil le rós .
D’imir muid cluichí cóisire ar nós an t-urlár a bheith ina laibhe. Thaitin sé leis na páistí damhsa le hamhráin agus na gníomhochtaí a dhéanamh.
Bhí bia blasta againn freisin.“Ba é an cóisir is fearr riamh é”
Táimid ag tnúth leis an tseachtain seo chugainn nuair a bheidh muid ag foghlaim faoi na bláthanna earraigh éagsúla.
Lá Fhéile Vailintín St Valentines Day
Love was mostly certainly in the air this week in Naíonra as we celebrated in preparation for Valentine’s Day this weekend.
During circle time we spoke about the celebration of Valentine’s Day; we spoke about kindness, friendship and how to show our families we love them.
For our arts and crafts this week we made a Valentine’s Day card, a love bug, a bunch of flowers, valentines collage and we made stamps using paint and heart shapes.
The children loved exploring the messy play table full of feathers, pom poms and crepe paper.
We also created bubbles using bath soap confetti and water.
The children loved the slime like texture squishing it between their hands.
We opened our own Naíonra Tigh na Sí restaurant where the children got an opportunity to learn about the different roles in a restaurant environment.
The children loved serving the food, we had everything from “paw patrol soup” to a “dinosaur salad”.
To finish the week we had a Valentine’s Day theme party; the children loved taking photos at the easel and with a rose too.
We played party games such as the floor is lava. The children loved dancing to songs and doing the actions. We had yummy treats too. “It was the best party ever”
We are looking forward to next week where we plan on learning about the different Spring flowers
